The game was delayed due to a problem with one of the nets, but when it did begin, Heracles took control with Brandley Kuwas shooting just wide before Kristoffer Peterson had an effort cleared off the goalline.
Out of nothing, NAC Breda stunned the hosts by taking the lead on fourteen minutes when Angeliño’s ambitious strike from distance looped over a despairing Bram Castro. However, Heracles responded immediately through Reuven Niemeijer, who hammered a strike into the net off the crossbar.
Eight minutes after the equaliser, Heracles took the lead when Paul Gladon was left unmarked from a corner and the striker fired the ball past NAC goalkeeper Mark Birighitti.
Thierry Ambrose had the best chance to equalise for NAC in the second half, but after racing through on goal he was denied by Castro. At the other end, Birighitti saved well from Peterson.
The victory lifts Heracles to ninth while NAC are 17th.
