Heracles Almelo ended 2018 with a convincing 3-0 victory over Excelsior in Rotterdam.

Excelsior went into the game in poor form but they had the better chances of the opening half-hour. Sadly for the hosts, Elías Már Ómarsson couldn’t convert with three good opportunities.

In the 35th minute, Heracles made Excelsior pay for their wastefulness as Kristoffer Peterson found space before unleashing a strike into the bottom corner. Eight minutes later, Brandley Kuwas played a lovely one-two with Lerin Duarte before firing in a second.

Just after the hour mark, Heracles wrapped up the comfortable victory through Mohammed Osman. The win lifts the visitors up to 5th while Excelsior head into the winter down in 14th.
