Heracles Almelo has confirmed the signing of Borussia Dortmund centre-back Marco Rente.

The 23-year-old has signed a three-year deal in Almelo with the option of another.

Rente has played with Borussia Dortmund’s U23’s for the past two seasons, but never made the step up to the first-team.

The defender becomes Heracles fifth summer signing after Rai Vloet, Noah Fadiga, Sinan Bakis, and Delano Burgzorg.
