The 24-year-old had been on trial with the Eredivisie side, but seems to have done enough to earn a two-year contract, with an option for an extra year. It’s likely that the defensive midfielder will be back-up to Joey Pelupessy.

Jakubiak has spent most of his career so far in B teams of German sides including St Pauli and VfB Lubeck, before spending the last two seasons with SV Rodinghausen who play in the German fourth tier, managed by Dutchman Alfred Nijhuis.
