Heracles Almelo have confirmed the signing of Willem II centre-back Dries Wuytens.

The Belgian has signed a contract in Almelo until 2019 and joins as a replacement for Justin Hoogma, who completed his move to Hoffenheim on Tuesday.

Heracles Managing Director Nico-Jan Hoogma told the clubs official website, “With Dries Wuytens we get a central defender in house with a lot of experience. He has played 93 matches at the highest level in Belgium and the Netherlands ”

The 26-year-old started his career in the youth teams of PSV Eindhoven, but left for Beerschot having not made a single first team appearance. After two years in Belgium, Wuytens returned to the Netherlands with Willem II in 2013. He madeĀ over 100 appearances for Willem II since.
