Guus Hiddink has finally confirmed that he will take over from Louis van Gaal as head coach of the Netherlands national team after the World Cup.

Its been rumoured for months that Hiddink had agreed to take on the job of guiding the Oranje to Euro 2016 in France, but nothing had been confirmed by the man himself, or the KNVB.
Speaking to Radio 1 show, Met het oog op morgen Hiddink said, “I am working with the KNVB to create a coaching team around me. We will need a few days or maybe a couple of weeks to complete it.”
Hiddik also confirmed that he hopes to add Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Giovanni van Bronckhorst to his coaching set up, . “We’re working on it. Most of the names are correct though, that I do not have to hide. Those guys will do a lot, but I will definitely focus on it.
Speaking about Van Gaal and the World Cup, Hiddink added, There is a great process used.The World Cup is important for the development of the young players. Netherlands is known for beautiful game.”
Hiddink’s first priority with Netherlands will be guiding them through their Euro 2016 qualifying group, which contains Czech Republic, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iceland, and Latvia.
