Netherlands coach Guus Hiddink has heaped praise on young winger Memphis Depay and believes the PSV winger can develop into one of the nations best players.

The 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger, who impressed during the World Cup, has started the season in great form for his club, netting nine times in seven matches, and there are calls for Depay to now be a starter in the national team.
Speaking to NOS Netherlands coach Guus Hiddink believes that if Depay can improve aspects of his game then he could be the best player in the Netherlands.
Hiddink said, “Depay has great potential, but there is still room for improvement. Now I have worked with him, he appears more promising than I first thought.”
“But in games he often plays too static and receives the ball with his back to the goal. On those details we work with him.”

Speaking on whether Depay could start the European Championship qualifier against Czech Republic on Tuesday, Hiddink added, “On Tuesday a starting spot for him is an option, but we will wait and see in training.”
Depay currently has 10 caps for the national team, scoring twice.
