Netherlands boss Guus Hiddink has named his 26-man provisional squad for next month’s matches against Mexico and Latvia.

willems oranje sjnAfter the horror defeat to Iceland earlier this month, Netherlands will be back in action with a friendly against Mexico on Tuesday the 11th of November, before they host Latvia in a crucial Euro qualifier five days later.

A number of new faces were expected to be called up by Hiddink after the defeat to Iceland, but Ricardo van Rhijn and Jetro Willems are the only surprise inclusions, while Memphis Depay, Tim Krul and Ron Vlaar are back after injuries.

Newcastle United right back Daryl Janmaat is dropped, along with Jeremain Lens, Georginio Wijnaldum, Erik Pieters and PSV centre back Jeffrey Bruma, while Rafael van der Vaart has once again been overlooked.
