The report states that Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi is hoping to free up some room in his squad, and is willing to sell Hoedt, who has fallen out of favour recently.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Italians on a free from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2015, was a regular at the start of the season, but has found himself rooted to the bench for the last five consecutive league games.
Hoedt has made 41 appearances for Lazio in the past two seasons, scoring twice.
Hoedt is a player that I have always liked. Good CD. If his market isn’t to high, this is a guy I would hope Feyenoord would be interested in. He is still young, left footed, an upgrade over van der Heijden, and with the big clubs circling over some of our D, a good pickup. Would help in the second half as we run for the league title. A back 4 of Kongolo, Hoedt, Bottighin, and Karsdorp would be very very good.
As a Lazio supporter I ike Wesley Hoedt too, alot. He needs more playing time to mature. Unfortunately he has to compete with Stefan De Vrij, Stefan Radu, Wallace and Bastos which are more suitable with coach Inzaghi’s tactical style. Finding another club that can guarantee more minutes on the pitch would be good for Hoedt.
