The 19-year-old played every minute of the Eredivisie season in the centre of the Almelo side’s defence and clearly caught the eye of Hoffenheim who have moved quickly to snap up the Dutchman.

Hoogma has now signed a four-year-deal with the Bundesliga side, who finished fourth in the league next season and will participate in the Champions League.

Heracles chairman Jan Smit told the official club website, “Heracles Almelo thus loses a talented young player. But we give Justin this important step in his career”

Hoogma is Hoffenheim’s successor for Niklas Süle who has signed for Bayern Munich.
