Justin Hoogma made a good impression but he couldn’t prevent Hoffenheim from losing 2-1 to Manchester City in the Champions League.

After making his Bundesliga debut at the weekend, Justin Hoogma was named in the starting line-up for the Champions League clash alongside Joshua Brenet.

Hoogma played in the centre of defence but stepped up into the midfield at times during the game which saw Hoffenheim take the lead early on before falling to a late defeat.

The former Heracles star and Netherlands U21 international made a good impression with nine tackles (more than any other player) and four interceptions. After struggling for playing time since moving to Germany in 2016 it appears that Hoogma is now set to be a key player for the Bundesliga side.
