Hull City moved closer to relegation in the English Championship after an 8-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic.

Hull City went into Tuesday’s bottom of the table clash with Wigan sitting in the bottom three and they are in even more trouble after a horror show.

With Dutch centre-back Jordy de Wijs in the eleven, Hull City found themselves 7-0 down at half-time. Things improved after the break, but an 8-0 loss leaves Hull City in 22rd spot with two games left, while their rivals below them have a game in hand.

On Saturday, Hull City host fellow strugglers Luton Town and then end the campaign away at Cardiff City.
