Ajax and Schalke have reached an agreement over the transfer of Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

The 37-year-old confirmed after the clash with FC Twente last week that he was still deciding his future. However, he has now decided on a return to Schalke.

Voetbal International are reporting that Huntelaar is currently in Gelsenkirchen to undergo his medical and complete the deal.

Huntelaar is set to retire in the summer but will firstly help Schalke try and avoid relegation. He could make his debut this weekend against Bayern Munich.
