Erwin van de Looi has named his provisional Netherlands U21 squad for an upcoming European Championship qualifier against Cyprus.

Last week, Mohamed Ihattaren was named in Morocco’s provisional squad for friendlies against Burkina Faso and Niger. The 17-year-old PSV talent then stated he was not ready to choose between Netherlands and Morocco.

Netherlands have now responded to Morocco’s invitation by calling Ihattaren into the U21 squad for the first time.

Also involved for the first time is AZ Alkmaar talent Myron Boadu, who has been in great form so far this season.
