Heracles Almelo eased to a 4-0 win over ADO Den Haag on Saturday with striker Cyriel Dessers continuing his fine form.

The pressure is increasing on ADO boss Fons Groenendijk with the club currently sitting 17th in the Eredivisie and without a win for a month.

Against Heracles, ADO Den Haag were once again soundly beaten and the threat of relegation is looming large in the Hague.

In the 22nd minute, Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring after outsmarting Shaquille Pinas before firing past Luuk Koopmans. Five minutes before the break, it was 2-0 with Mauro Junior tapping in from close range from a Tim Breukers cross.

Just before the hour mark, Mohammed Osman crossed for Dessers to slot in his second and the hosts third. That was Dessers 11th goal of the campaign, making him the new top scorer in the Eredivisie.

Alexander Merkel then sealed the victory with a fourth goal in the 65th minute. Before the end, ADO Den Haag had the ball in the net but it was disallowed by VAR for a handball by Tomas Necid.

The victory moves Heracles up to 5th while ADO Den Haag remains second bottom.
