Bergwijn returned to the PSV starting eleven on Sunday in their 4-3 win over FC Twente but isn’t fully fit and has decided to pull out of the U21 Euro qualifier with Andorra.
Coach Art Langeler confirmed the news on Twitter and revealed that KV Oostende striker Richairo Zivkovic would be Bergwijn’s replacement. Zivkovic netted his first goal in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday and has been rewarded with a call-up.
Netherlands face Andorra on Friday in what is a must-win game after a poor start to the qualifying campaign.
