Bojan started up front for Frank de Boer’s side, but only lasted two minutes, before pulling up with an injury, and being replaced by Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
The injury happened when Bojan was running for a long ball, but pulled up holding his hamstring, and looked in severe pain.
After the match, Frank de Boer stated that the injury to his star looked like a bad one, “Bojan is expected to be out for a while.”
There is no confirmation on the period that Bojan will be out for, and further tests will be performed by the clubs medical staff tomorrow.
The striker will definitely miss Ajax’s crucial Champions League group match with his former club AC Milan on Tuesday.
Bojan is on loan from Barcelona for the whole season, and had so far made eight appearances for Ajax, but is yet to score a goal.
