Both players were named in Dick Advocaat’s provisional squad for the upcoming friendlies with Morocco and Ivory Coast, and the World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg.

The squad was meant to meet up in Noordwijk for a training camp before Advocaat names his final squad on Thursday. However, both van Ginkel and Janmaat have pulled out through injury.

Janmaat had to be substituted in the first half of Watford’s defeat to Manchester City due to a hamstring issue, while van Ginkel has knee problems and will be unable to train for the next few weeks.

The following players are taking part in the two-day training session: Steven Berghuis (Feyenoord), Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon), Bas Dost (Sporting Lisbon), Jürgen Locadia (PSV), Bruno Martins Indi (Stoke City), Sergio Padt (FC Groningen ), Quincy Promes (Spartak Moscow), Davy Pröpper (PSV), Bart Ramselaar (PSV), Marten de Roon (Middlesbrough), Jens Toornstra (Feyenoord), Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord) and Jeroen Zoet (PSV)
