The striker started on the bench as expected for the tie and was overlooked when Harry Kane went off injured early on, with midfielder Christian Eriksen picked instead to replace the striker.
Eventually, with the score at 4-0, Janssen appeared from the bench with less than twenty minutes to play and the Dutchman took little time to get himself on the scoresheet. Son Heung-min raced down the wing before squaring the ball for Janssen to sweep it into the bottom corner. It was Janssen’s first goal from open play since his move from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

Janssen will be hoping his display is enough to earn him some more playing time in the coming weeks with Kane set for a spell on the sidelines.
