Vincent Janssen netted for Monterrey in their 1-1 draw with Santos Laguna on Monday morning which sealed their spot in the semi-finals of the Mexican playoffs.

In midweek, Monterrey sealed a first-leg 5-2 win over Santos Laguna, who finished the regular season top of the table. Janssen netted in that game and on Sunday, the Dutchman found the net again as they earned a 1-1 draw to book their place in the semi-finals.
Monterrey now face Necaxa next Wednesday and Saturday for a place in the final against either Club America or Morelia.
Janssen has now scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Monterrey.
