The Dutch international was left out of Tottenham’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia in order to be given time to find a new club.
According to several reports in Mexico, including one from Cancha.com, Janssen is set to join Monterrey. A medical is scheduled for Monday and an official statement could be made in the coming hours.
The 25-year-old joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar in 2016 but the move has not been a success. In 42 appearances, the striker has netted six times, while he spent most of last season injured.
