New Ajax captain Joel Veltman spoke to the NOS ahead of tonight’s Champions League match against Nice in France.

Veltman spoke of their preparation and the togetherness in training that they hope to harness into a victory against Lille at the Allianz Riviera stadium.
The defender said, ”I believe that we are ready for the match against Nice. We have trained well the past few days.
”Before then our heads were down due to the situation regarding Appie Nouri.
” I have noticed in training a combative nature where all the teammates are together. That gives us confidence for the match against Nice ”
