John Van ‘t Schip has been unveiled as the new head coach of PEC Zwolle starting next season.

The 53-year-old will take over from outgoing manager Ron Jans in the summer and has signed a two-year deal with the club currently sitting 11th in the Eredivisie.

Van ‘t Schip said after his unveiling, “I am really happy with this chance to return to the Netherlands after many years and become PEC Zwolle manager.

“It is important for me to give a recognised style of football to the team and entertain the fans by playing good football and that after the game they go home satisfied.

“We also want to continue to consolidate and make steps forward with the club. PEC Zwolle wants to grow and continue to develop and I want to help them achieve that.

John Van’t Schip was also previously manager of Melbourne City and Deportivo Guadalajara.
