The former Ajax and Inter Milan boss took over at Crystal Palace in the summer but with the club losing their opening three games, reports are already coming out stating De Boer could be fired.
Wim Jonk, who was a youth coach at Ajax when De Boer was in charge, has urged Crystal Palace to keep their faith in the Dutchman.
He told the Evening Standard, “It’s a crazy world. The football world is a crazy world.
“What can you do? He does his best, and I saw some bits of the game against Liverpool and they had the chance to get 1-0 up with the great chance of Benteke and they lost 1-0 at the end because of maybe an own goal.
“Then you think okay, it’s such a small line where you are as a coach so I think leave him a few months so then he’s set in and then see what he does under this sort of pressure and then look how he comes out.”
yes liverpool was ok because he put them defensively but what he did against swansea it was just shocking, how can you expect play his passing ball if you put cabaye (the only creative player available due to injuries) on the bench. Why Puncheon starting if he has poor starting season? Maybe give him a rest, plus Ward and Dann were out of their normal position.
