The 24-year-old left PSV for the Premier League on Friday with Brighton paying €17 million to sign the striker.

Locadia said, ”It is a dream to play in the Premier League and I am delighted to be here.

”I am obsessed with football and I watch every Premier League game when I am at home. It’s great to be here.

”I believe that I can bring power, precision, goals and assists and also a lot of energy to Brighton & Hove Albion.

”I would describe myself as a very direct player that is two-footed. I have the ability to score goals.”

Locadia stated that he spoke to former PSV teammate Davy Propper, ”I spoke to Davy Propper and he told me that Brighton & Hove Albion is a nice club with great people and that there is a good connection between the players and the backroom staff. He asked me to join him here.”

The forward isn’t worried about the €17 million price tag, ”I do not think about my price tag the only thing I can do is try to contribute with goals and assists.”

Locadia joins Brighton injured and he isn’t sure when he will be able to make his debut, ”I am currently injured and I do not know the exact date that I will return. I think it will be a matter of weeks and I am working hard every day to be able to return as strong as possible.
