Ferdi Kadioglu’s wait for his official Fenerbahce debut is over after he came off the bench in their 5-2 cup victory over Giresunspor.

Kadioglu joined Fenerbahce from NEC Nijmegen in the summer but despite the club struggling at the bottom and having two Dutch coaches, the Netherlands U21 international was not handed his debut, until Thursday.

New head coach Ersun Yanal named Kadioglu on the bench for the cup clash at Giresunspor and with just over ten minutes left, the midfielder came off the bench for his debut. Fenerbahce won the match 5-2 and are into the last 16.

Earlier this month, the 19-year-old’s agent stated he would be talking with the club over his client’s future, should his situation not change. However, with Yanal in charge, it appears that Kadioglu may finally get his chance.
