Coach Danny Blind will have to do without Stoke City’s Erik Pieters, Newcastle United’s Daryl Janmaat, AZ defender Ron Vlaar and PSV attacker Jurgen Locadia, who all pulled out on Sunday evening.

Pieters was an injury doubt when Blind included him in his squad, but the coach wanted to see if he could recover in time. Jurgen Locadia suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s defeat to Ajax, while Ron Vlaar came off with a similar problem against Twente. Daryl Janmaat was replaced during Newcastle’s draw with Sunderland, but it was assumed it was a tactical switch. Newcastle fans will be waiting to hear what issue their right back has.

Despite four players opting out, Blind has decided to only call-up one replacement with Feyenoord right back Rick Karsdorp earning his first call-up to the senior squad.

The full squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Jasper Cillessen (Ajax), Kenneth Vermeer (Feyenoord), Jeroen Zoet (PSV)

Defenders: Jeffrey Bruma (PSV), Virgil van Dijk (Southampton), Rick Karsdorp (Feyenoord), Timo Letschert (FC Utrecht), Joël Veltman (Ajax), Jetro Willems (PSV).

Midfield: Riechedly Bazoer (Ajax), Daley Blind (Manchester United), Jordy Clasie (Southampton), Davy Klaassen (Ajax), Davy Pröpper (PSV), Wesley Sneijder (Galatasaray), Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle United).

Attackers: Memphis Depay (Manchester United), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04), Vincent Janssen (AZ), Luuk de Jong (PSV), Luciano Narsingh (PSV), Quincy Promes (Spartak Moskow).
