The Feyenoord right back has been in high demand across Europe, after a string of impressive performances, and his suitors include European heavyweights Manchester United and Bayern Munchen.

During the January transfer window, speculation has been mounting that the Dutch international could be on his way out of the Eredivisie leaders for a foreign adventure. However, Karsdorp has attempted to cool transfer speculation saying despite interest, he remains committed to helping Feyenoord secure their first title since 1999.

He told Voetball International, “I know that clubs have been in touch during the winter with my agent, but I do not want to hear it until it is really concrete. Apparently nothing is yet, otherwise I would have heard.”

Karsdorp confirmed he didn’t want to leave Feyenoord saying, “I’m fine, I have played football here since I was eight, so now we go for the championship, I do not want to leave. If Feyenoord play in the Champions League next season, this is certainly an additional reason to stay, since every player dreams of this.

Regarding the future, Karsdorp is keeping his options open but suggested he hasn’t ruled out a contract extension with Feyenoord. “I am now down [contracted] to 2020, whether they [Feyenoord] extend further? I cannot say. I know them and have to talk with my agent.”

The player is currently valued at €6.5 million and has been a leading star in the Eredivisie this season.
