The right-back made a darting run up the wing in the 71st minute before sending a cross in for Edin Dzeko to net.
After the game, Karsdorp told the AS Roma website, “This is what I am good at. I took a good look around, kept going and luckily Edin was in the right place.”
Karsdorp has made 11 appearances for Roma in Serie A this season and a further three in the Europa League. He has provided three assists.
The 25-year-old seemed at a dead end in Rome after being loaned to Feyenoord last season but has regained his place in Italy and appears to be a key player for the club.
Karsdorp is the best right-back for Holland.
He’s great going forward but not that strong defensively. Maybe a few years of consistent play in Italy will change that. Finally getting consistent playing time though so he certainly deserves a chance in the squad in March.
