Van Ginkel scored on his return

The 24-year-old has spent six months on loan in Eindhoven for the past two season, scoring 15 times in 24 appearances for the club.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Brands stated they they will try and keep Van Ginkel for next season and want to negotiate a deal with Chelsea, whether that be permanent or another loan.

Brands said, “We are keen to keep Marco at the club. Both a loan deal or a permanent move could be an option.

“We tried to bring him in on an 18-month loan deal in January, but Chelsea told us they wanted to re-evaluate his situation during the summer.”

Brands also confirmed that Davy Propper isn’t for sale this summer unless they receive a massive offer. He also said the club are unlikely to use the option to keepĀ Oleksandr Zinchenko on loan for another season from Manchester City.
