Friday 9th November (19:00 GMT)

Jong AZ v TOP Oss

Jong AZ have not won in seven matches and I really expect them to struggle to a Oss side who have come here off the back of two victories, one which included a 5-1 thumping of NEC in Nijmegen. The home side will have to rely on division top scorer Ferdy Druijf if they want anything from this, he has scored 65% of their goals so far. 1-3 | Oss to Win

Jong Ajax v NEC Nijmegen

Inconsistency is still the problem for Jong Ajax this season. Two defeats on the bounce against Cambuur and Volendam is not acceptable and has seen them consolidate their mid table spot even further. They face NEC who themselves are underperforming, however responded well to a horror defeat a fortnight ago by beating Jong AZ last Friday. This should be a close game on paper and therefore can’t separate the two myself. 1-1 | Both Teams To Score

Almere City v Cambuur

A great game in prospect here. Almere picked up a crucial win last week following disappointing defeats to fellow title challengers Go Ahead and Twente. I can see plenty of goals being scored and both sides will definitely fancy their chances. A defeat for Cambuur will really push them back to reality after topping the table earlier on in the season. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 3-1

Den Bosch v FC Twente

Easily game of the week. Den Bosch have now won six in a row, conceding just two in the process. An unbelievable achievement from one of the divisions smaller clubs to now be up to fourth place, just two points off top spot. It will be a huge task to continue that run though, as they face Twente who have won three on the bounce and are scoring for fun. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 1-2

FC Eindhoven v Telstar

After their mini-revival, Eindhoven have started to struggle again and have gone three without a win. I’m not sure what we will see here, Telstar have not stood out at all this season yet are still picking up frequent wins. The away side still haven’t drawn which is why I’m going to go for a win for the home side. 1-0

Volendam v MVV Maastricht

All of a sudden, Volendam are picking up results. They’re on a six game unbeaten run, winning their last two. They face MVV who have lost their touch in recent weeks so another maximum for the home side could be on the cards. MVV have been solid defensively throughout the season however, so I can see them picking up something here. 0-0 | Under 2.5 Goals

Go Ahead Eagles v Dordrecht

A poor defeat last week for the Eagles, they lost 2-1 to Telstar which saw Sparta overtake them. A win here is crucial here, not just to keep the pressure on at the top, but also stay ahead of Twente in third where they must travel to next week for their biggest game of the season to date. I can’t see Dordrecht putting up much of a fight here. 3-0 | Go Ahead to Win

RKC Waalwijk v Jong PSV

After shocking the whole of the Netherlands by knocking PSV Eindhoven out of the KNVB Cup, Waalwijk returned to reality after being comfortably beaten in Enschede last week. They should fancy themselves here against PSV, however so will the away side which could make this a decent tie. 2-2

Roda JC v Helmond Sport

Roda picked up a big three points last week and another one here is crucial against Helmond who have still not won a game. Surprisingly the away side are still not bottom thanks to a considerable amount of draws. I cannot see them being a problem for Roda nor front man Mario Engels. 3-0

Sparta Rotterdam v Jong Utrecht

Another week, another win for Sparta who move back to first place after Go Ahead were defeated on Friday. It’s now eleven unbeaten for the side from Rotterdam, a brilliant showing. Their play-off spot is already confirmed, however that will not be on their minds since they will believe they can win the title, and I would not bet against that. This should be a very comfortable victory for the home side. 4-0 | Sparta over 2.5 goals
