Justin Kluivert may not be part of Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad at the moment but he believes he will be one of the players that will shape the national team’s future.

The 19-year-old was left out for the win over Germany and friendly with Belgium and has to make do with being a part of the U21 squad.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Kluivert still thinks he will play a big role for Oranje, “You see that Orange is coming back, that’s nice to see.

“Being part of that is a good prospect, but this time I will not be there, but I think that among others I am one of the guys who should shape the future.”

Kluivert has made five appearances for Roma so far this season and he is happy with his progress, “The moments that I have been able to play, I think I just did my thing.

“I’m getting stronger and I’m always going to understand more, what the boys want from me, but also what I would like them to have, we can build on that and so I get more minutes, I hope. “
