Ruben Kluivert has signed his first professional contract with Utrecht and hopes to make his professional debut as soon as possible.

The 18-year-old son of Patrick Kluivert and brother to Justin, signed a contract with Utrecht on Saturday, keeping him at the club until 2022.
Kluivert is currently playing for Utrecht’s U19’s but is aiming for his professional debut. He told the club’s website, “I hope to make minutes at Jong FC Utrecht as soon as possible, and then hopefully train along with and participate in the first team.”
Kluivert also believes Virgil van Dijk is a role model, “I kind of see myself as the same kind of player.”
On his dad and brothers, Kluivert said, “My father and brothers already know about my contract. They are very proud of me and of course very happy. I hope I can follow them, but now I will just concentrate on Utrecht and do my thing there. Then we will see what can happen. ”
