The KNVB have announced on Thursday that Dick Advocaat has returned to the Dutch national team as an assistant to Danny Blind.

The 68-year-old has been working as an adviser to Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Feyenoord but has now left that role to become assistant coach to Danny Blind.
Advocaat replaces Ruud van Nistelrooy who left his role to join PSV’s coaching staff, and will be the second assistant to Blind alongside Marco van Basten.
Its the fifth time Advocaat has worked with the Oranje having been an assistant twice and a head coach twice in the past.
