De Graafschap 2-5 PEC Zwolle

In the only all Eredivisie clash of the evening, PEC Zwolle eased into the next round thanks to four goals by Zian Flemming.

The former Ajax youngster started up front for the visitors and after 13 minutes he opened the scoring after being set up by Denis Genreau. Ten minutes later, Flemming got his second after a mix-up in the host’s defence and just before the break, his hat-trick was complete with another fine finish.

Eight minutes into the second half, Javier Veti headed in a free-kick to pull one back for De Graafschap but moments later Mike van Duinen netted PEC Zwolle’s fourth.

Erik Bakker made it 2-4 from a corner before the excellent Flemming had the final word with his fourth and PEC Zwolle’s fifth.

FC Twente are safely into the third round after an entertaining 4-2 win over Noordwijk in Enschede.

The hosts appeared to be on their way to a simple victory when goals from Javier Espinosa and Aitor Cantalapiedra gave them a 2-0 lead by the 30th minute. However, a minute after the second, Emiel Wendt pulled one back.

Espinosa’s second restored the two goal lead before the break but Wendt netted again in the 86th minute to set up an interesting finish. Noordwijk looked for an equaliser but in the 90th minute, Rafik Zekhnini sealed the victory for Twente.

Kozakken Boys 2-1 Almere City

A last-minute winner by Ahmed El Azzouti saw Kozakken Boys pull off an upset and knock out Keuken Kampioen Divisie side Almere City.

El Azzouti had given the hosts the lead in the 11th minute, but Almere City appeared to force extra-time when Stijn Meijer equalised. With the last kick of the game, though, El Azzouti sealed Kozakken Boys progress.
