A round up of all tuesday’s action in the KNVB Cup as the second round got underway with a number of Eredivisie clubs entering the action.

knvb beThe first game of the round saw a shock result, as Capelle saw off Eerste Divisie side Almere City, with Marvin Strik scoring the only goal in extra time.

Another two shocks saw IJsselmeervogels beating Helmond Sport 3-2, and Excelsior’31 knocking out Willem II 2-1 with both matches going to extra-time.

NEC Nijmegen eased into the third round, as they hammered minnows Harkemase Boys 8-0 with Cristoph Hemlein netting a hat-trick. The other goals were netted by Foor, Jahanbahkhsh, Stefanik, and a Jantscher double.

MVV also eased into the third round, as they beat TEC 3-1, with Maria netting a double before Braken added a third before half time. In the second half Sanaky pulled a goal back, but it was too late for the home side.

Cambuur smashed Katwijk 6-1 with Kevin Brands, Paco Van Moorsel, Martijn Barto, Marcel Ritzmaier, Ramon Leeuwin, and Marlon Pereira all netting for the Eredivisie side, while Leonard netted the consolation for the minnows.

ADO Den Haag are safely through, after three second half goals, from Vito Wormgoor, Mathias Gehrt, and Mike van Duinen seeing off GVVV 3-0.

Go Ahead Eagles joined their fellow Eredivisie sides in the third round after a 3-0 win over DVS’33, with Erik Falkenburg, Doke Schmidt, and Jop van der Linden scoring.

Achilles’29 put in a five star performance to see off HSC’21 5-1

Excelsior beat De Graafschap in an all Eerste Divisie tie 3-1, as Blij, Vermeulen, and a Hutten penalty saw them through, with Jansen netting for the home side.

VVV Venlo will be in the third road, after a 2-1 away win over FC Oss, with Jules Reimerink netting late on, after Marko Maletic cancelled out Prince Rajcomer’s opener.

Elsewhere Kozakken Boys beat Scheveningen 3-0, JVC’31 saw off Barendrecht 2-0, FC Eindhoven hammered EHC 4-1, and Emmen went through 2-0 against Deurne.

Finally in the all Eredivisie tie between RKC Waalwijk, and Heracles, a Thomas Bruns goal late in extra time saw the side from Almelo triumph 1-0 and book their place in the next round.
