The KNVB Cup quarter-finals continued on Wednesday with Feyenoord defeating PSV and AZ easing to a win over PEC Zwolle. Below is a round-up of the action.

Feyenoord 2-0 PSV

PSV won’t be going for the double this season after being knocked out the cup in Rotterdam.

Sam Larsson opened the scoring after only three minutes when he finished on the rebound after Jeroen Zoet saved from Steven Berghuis.

Hirving Lozano and Jorrit Hendrix went close to the equaliser before Tonny Vilhena made it 2-0 on the half hour mark. The midfielders shot from distance was diverted past Zoet.

Brad Jones saved well from Gaston Pereiro early in the second half as PSV struggled to find a way back into the game. Nicolas Jorgensen thought he had sealed the win for Feyenoord but his excellent goal was ruled out after the video referee noticed he was offside.

Feyenoord held on comfortably for the victory and take their place in the last four.

AZ 4-1 PEC Zwolle

AZ took advantage of a red card for Diederik Boer to comfortably defeat PEC Zwolle.

Wout Weghorst opened the scoring on 21 minutes but Wouter Marinus headed in the equaliser ten minutes later.

Five minutes before the end of the first half Guus Til fired in an Idrissi corner to restore the hosts lead.

Less than ten minutes into the second half, Boer saw red for handling the ball outside the box. With a man extra, AZ eased to victory with Idrissi and Weghorst scoring to make it 4-1.
