Go Ahead Eagles needed penalties to overcome amateur side IJsselmeervogels and book their place in the KNVB Cup quarter-finals.

Go Ahead Eagles went into the clash without a defeat since August and they were confident of reaching the last eight.
However, IJsselmeervogels gave the Keuken Kampioen Divisie side a tough time and they took the lead in the 50th minute. Robbert Olijfveld netted after a poor backpass caused panic in the Go Ahead defence.
Gino Bosz equalised for Go Ahead in the 79th minute with a strike from distance that surprised goalkeeper Stef Brummel.
The match eventually headed to penalties and Go Ahead Eagles triumphed thanks to Hobie Verhulst, who scored and made several saves in an epic shootout.
Go Ahead Eagles progress to face FC Utrecht.
