The KNVB Cup clash between Heerenveen and Feyenoord has been called off with the pitch in Friesland unplayable. The game was set to be played on Thursday.

The Netherlands was hit with heavy snow over the weekend which saw a number of Eredivisie games called off.

The KNVB have now decided that Thursday’s KNVB Cup quarter-final between Heerenveen and Feyenoord cannot go ahead because the Abe Lenstra Stadion pitch is frozen.

The game will now be played next Wednesday at 5.45pm UK time. Earlier in the week, NEC v VVV-Venlo was also called off and will be played next Wednesday too.
