PEC Zwolle are through to the KNVB Cup semi-finals after a comfortable 5-1 win over minnows JVC on Wednesday.

thomas aJVC were the only non-league side left in the quarter finals but their dream of cup glory has been shattered after a strong performance by PEC Zwolle.

The Eredivisie side got off to a perfect start as Bart van Hintum curled in a free kick after only three minutes, and Maikel van der Werff added a 2nd after only 16 minutes.

Winger Ryan Thomas made it 3-0 on 19 minutes, and it seemed like Ron Jans side were going to run riot before half time, but there were no further goals before the break.

In the second half Denis Mahmudov made it 4-0 on the hour mark, before Kevin van Veen gave the away side something to cheer about by pulling one goal back.

Mahmudov netted his second goal before the end to see PEC Zwolle comfortably into the draw for the semi-finals along with AZ Alkmaar who won on Tuesday.
