The last 16 round of the KNVB Cup began on Tuesday with three matches. Below is a round-up of all the action.

PEC Zwolle 2-0 NEC Nijmegen

PEC Zwolle were the first team into the last eight after they comfortably saw off NEC Nijmegen.

After only two minutes the home side were awarded a penalty but Erik Bakker’s spot-kick was kept out by Jelle Duin. However, halfway through the first-half PEC Zwolle did take the lead through Youness Mokhtar, who bundled into the area before slotting the ball past Duin.

Early in the second half, Terell Ondaan sealed PEC Zwolle’s victory, taking down Younes Namli’s cross before hammering a shot past Duin.

Willem II 3-0 RKC Waalwijk

Three goals in the first half saw Willem II ease to a 3-0 victory over RKC.

Fran Sol opened the scoring after quarter of an hour before the Spanish striker doubled the lead with a header on 37 minutes.

Ismail Azzouzi put the game to bed before the break and there were to be no further goals in the second half. RKC were reduced to ten men before the end with Irvingly van Eijma shown his second yellow card.

The only concern for the hosts was an injury to in-form striker Bartholomew Ogbeche which might rule the Nigerian out of action for a while.

Cambuur 3-0 GVVV Veenendaal

Cambuur may be having a difficult campaign in the Eerste Divisie but they are into the quarter finals of the cup after a comfortable win over second division amateurs GVVV.

Nigel Robertha, Matthew Steenvoorden and Ricardo Kip scored the goals for the home side.
