Feyenoord will meet NAC Breda in the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup after a 1-0 victory over Heerenveen.

Feyenoord were rocked by the news that club legend Carlo de Leeuw had died. The players all wore black armbands during the game.

Nicolai Jorgensen missed a big chance early on before Leroy Fer made it 1-0 in the fifteenth minute, nodding in from close range.

Before the break, Feyenoord keeper Justin Bijlow was called into action to deny Chidera Ejuke and Sven Botman. Early in the second half, Ejuke raced in on goal but once again Bijlow came out on top.

Heerenveen raced forward looking for the equalise, but Jens Odgaard was unlucky to see his strike come back off the bar. At the other end, Orkun Kokcu was denied by a fantastic Filip Bednarek save.

Before the end, the crossbar once again denied Heerenveen, this time Runar Espejord and Feyenoord held on for the victory.

The will now meet NAC Breda for a place in the final.
