The biggest shock came in Vlaardingen as Eredivisie side Willem II were beaten 2-1 by fifth tier side Deltasport. Redouan Boulfalfal was the hero for the minnows as he netted a double to cancel out Ben Sahar’s equaliser.
ADO Den Haag are also out of the competition after being beaten 2-0 on penalties by Eerste Divisie side Almere City. Mike van Duinen had given the Eredivisie side a first half lead, but Vincent Janssen’s goal meant the match headed to extra time. Janssen put Almere City in front, but Thomas Kristensen netted a penalty to take it to penalties. In a strange shootout ADO Den Haag missed all four of their spot kicks with Almere City triumphing after scoring two.
