Vitesse Arnhem defeated Heracles 2-0 in Almelo to book their place in the KNVB Cup quarter-finals.

The visitors took the lead in the 11th minute when Oussama Tannane netted against his former side with a free-kick that curled into the net untouched.
After the opener, Heracles failed to create any clear cut chances for an equaliser and on the hour mark, Vitesse settled the tie. Tim Matavz slotted into the net after being set up by Tannane.
Vitesse have now booked their place in the last eight where they will meet the winner of Ajax’s tie with Spakenburg.
