Vitesse Arnhem have reached the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup after a 2-1 victory over ADO Den Haag.

Vitesse are sitting second in the league and are challenging for the league title. However, head coach Thomas Letsch wants to take the KNVB Cup seriously and named a full-strength side for the clash against ADO Den Haag.

The visitors, though, rested a number of key players, with surviving relegation the priority for ADO Den Haag.

Vitesse dominated but only netted once in the first-half with Lois Openda scoring from a Oussama Tannane pass. It eventually, became 2-0 through Matus Bero in the 71st minute.

Substitute Amar Catic pulled one back for ADO Den Haag in the 81st minute, but Vitesse held on to book their place in the last eight.
