VVV-Venlo were the last team to book their place in the KNVB Cup quarter-finals after a 1-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles.

Hans De Koning decided to hand Georgios Giakoumakis a rest for the cup clash, but VVV did not need the Eredivisie’s top scorer.

Aaron Bastiaans scored the only goal of the game ten minutes before the break with a strike from distance.

Jafar Arias did have the ball in the net before the end but it was disallowed for offside.

VVV progress to the quarter-finals for the first-time since the 1995-96 season.
