In an interview with De Telegraaf on Tuesday, Jordania stated that Chelsea are in control of the club, and have intentionally told them not to win the Eredivisie championship in order for the two clubs not to meet in the Champions League. According to the rules of the Champions League two clubs owned by one man are not allowed in the same competition.
After reading these comments the KNVB have announced on their website that they will soon pay a visit to Vitesse in order to discuss the management structure at the club. They will then determine whether there is reason to turn the discussions into an investigation.
A part of the statement read, “The regulations state that – in the context of independence – one person is not allowed to be functionally linked to several professional clubs in the Netherlands or abroad.”
The latest news is set to be another huge disturbance at the club, who are chasing 2nd spot in the Eredivisie, after the clubs Ceo, Joost de Wit, issued Jordania with a three-year ban from the club for reportedly making death threats towards him.
