Ronald Koeman is happy that there are so many talented youngsters coming through the Dutch national team at the moment.

The national team boss handed out four debut’s during the international period with Steven Bergwijn, Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, Pablo Rosario and Denzel Dumfries all earning their first caps.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Koeman said he was happy with all fours contribution, “Steven Bergwijn, Denzel Dumfries, Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld and Pablo Rosario confirmed that I made the right choice to select them. When I signed up as a coach, I did not know that there would be so much talent in the Dutch national team, with about six, seven talented boys under the age of 22. “

Bergwijn got special praise from the coach, “Steven is a great player, he has a sense of position, he can play left and right in the attack, he proved that at PSV and you saw it again against Belgium after he fell in.

“He did not pay much attention to Germany, so he did not fill in his defensive duties at times, but of the four debutants at the Dutch squad, Steven is currently the furthest in his development.”
