According to Sport, Barcelona have Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez on their wishlist as Ronald Koeman looks to add a centre-back to their squad.

Koeman wants to sign Manchester City’s Eric García but the chances of him making the move to the Nou Camp in January seem small.

According to Sport, internal discussions at Barcelona have now identified Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez as an option. Koeman thinks the versatile Argentinian would fit the Barcelona profile perfectly.

Martinez can play across the backline, while the 22-year-old can also step into midfield. He has a wealth of experience with Ajax already and would be cheaper for Barcelona than Garcia.

Barcelona have also been linked with Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum and Hoffenheim’s Dutch youngster Melayro Bogarde as they look to add new faces to the squad in January.
