Ronal Koeman thinks the Netherlands can look forward to the World Cup but he sees Brazil as favourites for the tournament in Qatar.

The World Cup begins in just a few weeks in Qatar and after the tournament, Ronald Koeman will once again take charge of the Dutch national team.

Speaking to NH, Koeman was asked who was favourite for the tournament, “If you had to name a favourite, Brazil is perhaps the biggest favourite. They could just invite eighty great players.”

However, Koeman sees Netherlands as a contender, “I think there is very little difference between Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Argentina with Messi probably too. It’s close together, so that also means you can go far if you’re lucky. Like the Dutch national team at this moment and the atmosphere that is there within that team, I think we can be quite positive towards the World Cup.”

Looking ahead, Koeman said the Netherlands may be his final job, “I will probably no longer train a club after Oranje.”
